Iqbal earned his Bachelor of Engineering (civil) from the University of Canterbury in 1992. After completing his studies, he moved back home to Fiji for a few years where he embarked on a career as a civil and structural engineer, working on projects ranging from residential houses to commercial buildings and hotels.

With a wealth of experience spanning over 30 years in the construction industry, Iqbal has cultivated extensive expertise, particularly in the domains of engineering and architectural design across the South Pacific region. Iqbal’s specialization currently lies in residential design, project management, and project consultancy.

Beyond his technical proficiency, Iqbal has a profound passion for social work, leveraging his engineering and design expertise to serve the broader community. He finds fulfilment in projects that are designed to benefit society.
